SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - No. 18 Millersville started Thursday's PSAC opener at No. 24 Shippensburg with four-straight wins and rolled to a 32-12 victory.
Millersville (3-1, 1-0 PSAC) received tech falls from the nation's No. 3-ranked 133 pounder in
Devin Flannery and from 184-pound
Anthony Giampietro.
Craig Cook provided some extra points at 149 pounds with a major decision.
Millersville has now scored at least 30 points in all three duals against non-Division I opponents, and the Marauders handed Shippensburg (4-1, 0-1 PSAC) its first loss of the season. Millersville has won four in a row in the series.
REACTION FROM COACH JERRY BOLAND
• "We put together a solid team effort. We let two bouts slip away but they will learn from that. Otherwise, we continued to improve in all phases. Everyone pushed the pace throughout their bouts. Devin, Craig and G (Giampietro) securing bonus points late in their bouts was impressive, and we we need to do."
