COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Millersville women's basketball team fell to No. 17 Maryland in Wednesday night's exhibition, 94-39. This marked the first game of head coach Sharay Hall's second year at the helm of the program, and the team's third Division I matchup since Hall arrived.

The Marauders kept things close with the nationally-ranked Terrapins during first-quarter action, trading baskets for the entirety of the quarter and taking a 14-13 lead after a Bria Beverly made jumper with just over two minutes remaining. The quarter would play out in Maryland's favor, but not by much, as the score showed 17-16 heading into the second. However, this is when the Terps would pull away, outscoring 'Ville 77-23 over the final three quarters, which led to the Marauder road loss.

Millersville will host James Madison on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. before starting its official schedule on Saturday, Nov. 12 against Shaw in the CIAA/PSAC Challenge at Pucillo Gymnasium.
