MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The annual Thanksgiving Day tradition is turning 50 in 2022, and registration is open for the 50th Millersville Turkey Trot.
The oldest road race in Lancaster County is set for Thursday, November 24 at 9 a.m. This year's 5K run features a new course that navigates the Millersville University campus. Preceding the 5K are 100-meter and half-mile children fun runs. Parents are able to participate with the children. The main 5K run invites runners, walkers, families, strollers and pets. The race begins near Pucillo Gymnasium and concludes at Biemesderfer Stadium with awards and prizes.
Online registration through Nov. 20 includes a t-shirt and a raffle drawing entry. The raffle drawing is for a one-week vacation at the Delaware Shore. Online registrations between Nov. 21-22 do not include a t-shirt or raffle entry. The cost to register is $30. The children fun run is free, but children can register for a t-shirt for $10.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Cy Fritz Foundation and the Millersville cross country and track and field programs. Registration, course map and event information is available at
