MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Millersville women's basketball fell to Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East opener, 66-49. Bloomsburg used a 12-1 run at the start of the fourth quarter to pull away from the Marauders and advance to 9-7 (6-3 PSAC) on the year, while dropping 'Ville to 1-10 (0-6 PSAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- An Erika Reed three-pointer with 12 seconds left in the first quarter brought the Marauders within two Huskies, 16-14.
- La'Shyra Williams capped off an 11-4 run with a layup that came just under the one-minute mark in the second quarter to bring Millersville within one, 30-29.
- Megan Corridoni grabbed an offensive rebound and put it back for a score to give Bloomsburg an eight-point lead with just over eight minutes remaining in the third quarter.  
- A Makiah Shaw layup at the four-minute mark of the third gave Millersville their first lead since early in the first, 40-39.
- Bloomsburg outscored Millersville 17-7 in the fourth quarter, including a 12-1 run to pull away from the Marauders and leave Pucillo with a victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
	- The Huskies held the edge in points off turnovers (21-10), second chance points (18-5), points in the paint (34-28), and fast break points (6-2).
- The Marauders held the edge in bench points, 14-6.
- Millersville finished the game shooting 38.2% from the floor, 16.7% from beyond the arch, and 50% from the free-throw line. They shot a team-high 53.85% in the second quarter of play.
- Lauren Lister and La'Shyra Williams each scored nine in the loss.
- Brenna Ortwein and Lister each grabbed five rebounds.
- Lister led the team in assists, dishing out four.

"We got outplayed today in the fourth. Unfortunately, that was expected with us fighting back from covid; However, I thought we fought and played hard. We will continue to build and grow on executing plays down the stretch in order to prepare us for games to come. With a quick turnaround, we have to have sharp focus and take care of our bodies."
