POST GAME REACTION FROM HEAD COACH STEVE WIDDOWSON
•
On the first road win of the season: "It was a very good team performance. We used every available player again, and gave a few guys their first start of the season and got a great overall performance. The ability to rotate guys and share minutes is priceless and our team ethic is really coming out in our play. Everyone works hard for each other and it's great to see."
• On the amount of offensive opportunities created: "To be honest, that was the biggest disappointment from the game. We were not very clinical and could have made the game more comfortable. A combination of bad decisions, lack of quality, and some good saves from the keeper meant the game stayed closer than it might have been. Certainly in and around the box, it's an area we know we could have done better in. "
•
On Saturday's home match against Seton Hill: "It will certainly be a tough game, but we will prepare for it over the next few days and be ready to close out our opening stretch of non PSAC East games."
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Millersville out-shot the Lightning 27-5, including 16-3 edge on frame. The Marauders also held a 15-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• Maynard recorded his first goal of the season, while Calamia recorded his second.
• Calamia ended the match with six shots on goal.
Spencer Shortt was just behind him with four.
