REACTION FROM COACH SHELLY BEHRENS
•
On overcoming a slow start: "Back-to-back is tough. It was hot, mental, physical, emotional challenges. It was another tough test. I thought we could have been a little more structured today. But in the third quarter we stepped it up. Earning corners, we could have done a better job of that in the fourth quarter. But it's nice to earn a win."
•
On what the team has learned during the recent stretch:Â "It's been big to learn about ourselves detail wise, give some players some experience, get them into a game in a tight match. For us, it's a great growing phase."
•
On Saunders' scoring on corners:Â "She's always had a been a bit of grit to her. She's still figuring out some things. I let them call their own numbers today in a couple situations. I called the one with Morgan and let her pick where she wants to take it from. She has a nice strike to it."
NOTES
• Saturday's game was the second meeting between Millersville and Converse. The first came in 2018 with Millersville winning 7-0.
• Strijdom became the ninth Marauder to score a goal through the team's four games.Â
