MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team won four of six singles matches to knock off La Salle 4-3 and earn its first win over a Division I program since the fall of 2010.
The win boosted Millersville's record to 6-6 with four-straight wins. Millersville's last win over a D1 team came in October 2010 when it beat La Salle, 7-2. La Salle's record slipped to 3-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Carlos Martinez-Lucas and
Frank Yanni scored a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, but the other two went to La Salle, giving the Pioneers the doubles point.
• Singles belonged the Marauders, however. Martinez-Lucas won his sixth-straight match at No. 1 singles.
Santiago Ramos won a super set tiebreaker at for a win over Connor Merrill at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (7-5).
Ben Fellman won in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) in the No. 4 spot, and
Ting-Yu Yen rounded out the Marauder victories with a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (7-3) victory at No. 6.
NOTES
• Yen has won four-straight singles matches, including three since moving to the No. 6 singles spot.
• Martinez-Lucas improved to 10-2 and has won nine of his last 10 matches.

• Friday's match brought Millersville's regular season to a close. The Marauders travel to Mercyhurst on April 27 for the PSAC Semifinals.
