Two early goals not enough, Millersville falls to Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Gillian Zimmerman and Calie Swegon scored back-to-back goals for Millersville women's lacrosse early in the first half to try and close in on Bloomsburg's five-point lead, but four unanswered goals through the remainder of the half was too much for the Marauders to overcome. Millersville dropped the contest to the Huskies, 21-4.

Millersville falls to 3-8 on the season and 3-7 in conference play. Bloomsburg improves to 7-4 both on the season and in the PSAC.

HEAD COACH CINDY WILSON THOUGHTS
  • "Gillian [Zimmerman] always has great intensity and the will to get the goal. She has speed and handles the ball well in scoring situations."
  • "Grace [Cobaugh] works hard all over the field to give herself and her teammates opportunities to succeed."
  • "All you can do is move forward. With a quick turnaround, dwelling on this loss is not an option. A good day of preparation will leave us ready for our game against East Stroudsburg."
UP NEXT
  • Millersville gets a single day of rest before hitting the road for its final away game of the season at East Stroudsburg on Thursday, April 22 at 6 p.m.
