MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - After a season-filled with tightly-contested duals, the Millersville men's tennis team handily dispatched visiting Daemen Friday, 7-0.
The win improved Millersville to 3-6 and it was the team's second shutout of the season. Four of the team's first eight matches were decided by one point. Daemen falls to 1-3 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Carlos Martinez-Lucas and
Frank Yanni continued their strong play at No. 1 doubles, winning 6-3 to improve to 7-2 on the season.
Ben Fellman and
Ting-Yu Yen scored a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles for the duo's first win since March 25. The
Santiago Ramos and
Zach Pernia kept rolling, winning 6-1 for their third win in a row.
• Martinez-Lucas and
Frank Yanni both outlasted solid opponents in the top two spots in the lineup. Martinez-Lucas won 6-4, 7-5 over Ben Davis, and Yanni edged Phillip Vance, 6-3, 7-5. Ramos won for the third time in four matches, downing Jose Williamson III, 6-4, 6-2. After playing his last match at No. 3 singles, Fellman returned to the No. 4 spot and won 6-1, 6-3 over Sam Greco. Pernia rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 victory to keep pace with Martinez-Lucas with seven wins on the season.
Ting-Yu Yen played for the first time in the No. 6 spot in the lineup and cruised, 6-0, 6-0.

NOTES
• Millersville evened the all-time series with Daemen at 3-3, and the Marauders have won the last three duals by a combined 20-1 score.
• Friday's match was the first of three this weekend for the Marauders. Millersville has four regular season matches remaining, three of which are at home.
