LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Head Coach
Sharay Hall stressed the importance of defense to her first-year team in the preseason, "Five players working as one to create havoc on the defense end," said Hall. Tonight the Marauders did just that, forcing 24 Shaw turnovers and holding the Lady Bears to 32.7% from the field and 25% beyond the arch. 'Ville cashed in 20 points off of those turnovers en route to a 68-55 victory that marks their first win since the 2019-20 season and Hall's first win with the program.
Lauren Lister bounced back today, leading the team with 24 points, including 13 in the second half.
Makiah Shaw was able to deliver six for the Marauders along with with five rebounds and three assists. Shaw's performance over the weekend earned her a spot on the All-CIAA/PSAC Classic team.
The Marauders will head home for a midweek game against Chestnut Hill at Pucillo Gymnasium. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. start time.

• The fourth quarter was all Millersville, outscoring the Lady Bears by 13 and ending the game on a 6-0 run. The Marauders caused havoc in the second half, just as Hall expected them too, forcing 13 turnovers while outscoring Shaw 42-20.
