MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville football team outscored Edinboro 21-7 over the final 16 minutes of play, doubled-up the Fighting Scots in first downs and out-gained the visitors by 140 yards, but three lost fumbles and two blocked punts in a disastrous seven-minute stretch in the first half put the Marauders in a hole too deep. Edinboro held off the Marauders' comeback efforts for a 42-21 final.
28 of Edinboro's 42 points came in a span that started with 52 seconds left in the first quarter to the 10:03 mark in the second quarter. During that stretch, Edinboro blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. Edinboro used a short field after a Millersville punt for a quick TD drive. Edinboro then returned a Millersville fumble for a touchdown, and on the next Millersville drive, Edinboro blocked its second punt and needed just one eight-yard run for a touchdown and a 28-0 lead.
Millersville's third fumble of the half came on the first play of a drive that started at its own 2. Edinboro needed three plays for Dontae Sanders to catch an 18-yard pass and score his second TD of the game. Millersville trailed 35-7 at the half but held a 122-114 advantage in yards.
Millersville thoroughly outplayed Edinboro in the second half, holding a 15-4 advantage in first downs and a 239-107 edge in yardage gained. Millersville finished with 21 first downs and totaled 361 yards of offense for its second-highest output of the season. The top two totals have come in the last two weeks.

Jack Stagaard led the Marauders on three scoring drives and had a hand in all three touchdowns. He threw a five-yard TD pass to
Eli Workinger with 51 seconds left in the second quarter, connected with
T'iar Young from 12 yards on the first drive of the third quarter, and then scored a touchdown on a one-yard run with 6:15 left in the fourth. All three scoring drives were at least eight plays and 63 yards.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Stagaard led the Marauders with 19 carries for 52 yards and also completed 19-of-34 passes for 229 yards and two scores.

Mekhi Alexander led all receivers with five catches, and
Christan Drayton III led in yardage with 73 on four catches.

Tyler Tate and
Isaiah Onuschak both recorded sacks, and Millersville totaled seven tackles for loss as a team.
Jevon Thompson led the team with six tackles.
GAME NOTES
• Tate's sack was his 11th of the season. While he's the first Marauder since 1999 with double-digit sacks in a season, his 11 are the second-most by a Marauder since 1992.
• Stagaard totaled six touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in the final two games of the season.
• Young made his fourth TD catch, and those four scores were among just 12 total catches on the season. Workinger's touchdown was the first of his career.
