THE MATCH-UP
•    Millersville has seen its last two games end with opponents sinking shots to win with no time left on the clock. Millersville has lost in that fashion three times this season and is now 1-6 in games decided by five points or fewer. Eight of Millersville's nine losses have come by nine points or fewer. It hasn't so much been the start of the games. It's been the finish. Millersville has led at halftime 10 times but is just 5-5 in those games. In the first half of the nine losses, Millersville has averaged out-scoring opponents 36.0-35.2, shooting 45.8 percent from the field while allowing 43.8 percent shooting (.409 to .321 from three). The second half is a different story. In the second half of those nine losses, opponents are averaging 44.0 points on 48.3 percent shooting from the field and 43.2 percent shooting from three with 131 free throw attempts while Millersville is averaging 37.6 points on 45.5 percent shooting from the field and 27.1 percent from three while attempting just 96 free throws--35 fewer attempts and 33 fewer makes. Millersville led by as many as 15 against Shepherd and by 20 against Slippery Rock. Millersville has led by double-digits in three of its last four losses.
• Justin Nwosu has scored 13 or more points in six consecutive games--all of which have come after he missed back-to-back games in December. During that stretch, he has averaged 16.7 points per game on 51.8 percent shooting. His minutes are up as well. He has played at least 34 minutes in four consecutive games (the longest such streak of his career). He also has at least one steal in five consecutive games, totaling five in the last two and matching a season-high with three against Shepherd.
•    Redshirt freshman Ryan Davis had a breakout game against Shepherd. He scored a career-high 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting with three threes and a career-high six rebounds. Davis has totaled 33 points in the last two games after scoring 15 total points in his previous seven games. He has scored in double figures four times and is now shooting 50.0 percent from the field. Despite ranking sixth on the team in minutes, he ranks third in blocks and fourth in steals. He has at least one steal in 10 of the last 12 games.
•    Millersville and Lock Haven have evenly split the last 10 meetings, but Millersville has won four of five, and that one loss came in overtime on the road. Millersville won at Lock Haven on a last-second shot from Marcus Adkison in 2018, but Lock Haven has won four of the last five times it has played the Marauders at home.

SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES
• Lock Haven seems to be hitting its stride in PSAC East play with four consecutive wins including an 89-84 home win over West Chester and a 95-80 road win over Bloomsburg. This run comes after losing four consecutive games. Against the Huskies, Lock Haven sank 29-of-32 free throws in the second half alone and made 10-of-21 threes. The 3-point shooting has carried the Bald Eagles as they have connected on at least 10 in four consecutive games and shot 48.0, 43.5 and 47.6 percent from three in the last three games. Even with the recent production, Lock Haven ranks 12th in the PSAC in 3-point shooting, hitting 34.1 percent on the season. Christian Kelly ranks third in the PSAC scoring at 20.1 points per game.

THE LAST MEETING (Feb. 23, 2019 - Lock Haven 73, Ville 70 (OT)
• Millersville trailed by eight with six minutes left but rallied with an 11-0 run. However, Lock Haven's Christian Kelly hit a 3-pointer to force overtime, and in the extra session, a Jesse McPherson put back with 35 seconds left lifted Lock Haven to an eventual 73-70 win.
