MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University men's tennis team made its highly anticipated home debut Saturday, and left McComsey Tennis Courts victors again.
The Marauders (3-0) dominated visiting Frostburg State (0-1), taking nearly every game in the match to defeat the Bobcats, 7-0.
The victory clinched the first 3-0 start for the men's program since 2010-11.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• It was a strong day all all around for the Marauders. Of the three matches in doubles and six matches in singles, Millersville dropped just one game.
• The flight two doubles combination of
Frank Yanni and
Rodrigo Lorencin took care of business, winning fr the second consecutive match, 6-0.

Carlos Martinez-Lucas and
Ben Fellman (flight one) and
Santiago Ramos and Jose Acazar (flight three) also won by the same score to clinch the point in doubles play.
• Every player in flight one through five singles won in consecutive sets, 6-0, 6-0. Alcazar, playing in flight six, only dropped one game to win 6-1, 6-0.

"It was a great atmosphere today and a lot of fun for our first home match to be on Marauder Family Weekend," head coach
Matt Helsel said. "There was a great crowd and the players had a lot of energy."
NOTES
• The men's program is 3-0 for the first time since 2010-11. That team went on to win 13 matches, a number no other team has reached this decade.
•
Jose Alcazar, the lone senior and oldest player in the program, was 12-years-old the last time Millersville opened a season 3-0.
• This was the first career matchup between Millersville and Frostburg State.
• This was the first-ever match for the Bobcats on the Division II level. Frostburg State was previously a Division III school for the past 41 years.
