THOUGHTS FROM COACH BRIAN SMITH
• On playing at home: "It felt good to be home. We enjoyed our trip to Florida and learned a lot there, but it was good to get back in front of the hometown fans. It was a good start.
• On overcoming a slow start: "We knew we started slow and were capable of playing better volleyball. We didn't take a timeout and let the players work through it. We got back early Monday morning, so yesterday we had a half practice. They worked through it."
• On development of the team: "I like what I have seen so far. We need to get a little better with our blocking but our middles are learning the game at the college level. It is a positive improvement and we are going in the right direction."
NOTES
• Millersville has won two in a row and nine of the last 14 against Jefferson.
• The Marauders have hit over .200 in three consecutive matches, and have recorded 40 or more kills in four consecutive.
