Erie, Pa. - The Millersville University women's lacrosse team scored seven of the first eight goals and never looked back, eventually defeating Gannon by the score of 18-8 on Saturday morning.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Genevieve Speights scored the first goal of the game less than one minute after the clock started and Sarah Leverentz doubled the Millersville lead less than three minutes later. Gannon cut the deficit to one, but then the Marauders rattled off five-straight goals to take a 7-1 lead. Millersville scored four more goals in the half and allowed just three more to the Golden Knights to take an 11-4 lead into halftime.
• The two teams exchanged goals back-and-forth to start the second half, but another five-goal run by Millersville gave it an insurmountable 18-6 lead. Erin Rotondo scored two goals for Gannon down the stretch, but it was far too little too late as the Marauders ran away with the victory.
