Miller punches ticket to PSACs at ESU Invitational

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – Junior Judith Miller secured a spot at this year's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships with a 25.81 time in the 50-yard freestyle at the ESU Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Eryn Bartlett won two events in the invitational.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• In the 50-yard freestyle, Miller touched the wall at 25.81, finishing in second place in the event, just three tenths of a second away from first place. Miller broke the PSAC time standard by eight hundredths of a second.
• Bartlett's two wins were in 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. In the 100 breast, Bartlett improved three seconds from her prelims time, recording a 1:12.38–a second away from Kuztown's Keelie Walker. Bartlett earned her second win of the day in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:37.18 time. Both of her times were a second over the conference's time standard.
• Junior Rylan Tepe earned a victory in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:28.50. Tepe responded in the 100-yard butterfly, coming up short by two seconds out of first place but finished in second place with a 1:05.24.
• Senior Gabriella Licata swam in the 400-yard individual medley, winning against Kuztown's Linnea Pierson with a time of 5:03.45. In the 200-yard backstroke, senior Amanda Wetzler posted a 2:23.13, earning herself a win.
• In the 100-yard freestyle, senior Amira Washington posted a 58.07 time which earned her the second fastest time on the the this season. Washington came back with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a 26.37.
NOTES
• With the regular season finished, the Marauders have qualified a total of six swimmers to the upcoming conference championships.
• Miller's 25.81 was the fourth fastest time of the season for the Marauders in the 50-yard free. Bartlett recorded both the top times on the team in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke.
• Wetzler recorded her season best in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:23.13.

• The Marauders finish up their regular season meets today and look to focus and prep for the PSAC Championships starting on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the York's Graham Aquatic Center.
