THOUGHTS FROM COACH BRIAN SMITH
• On today's win:
"My concern coming into this weekend was the IUP match. When you play Pitt-Johnstown which has had success in the conference and success against us, you come ready to play. IUP is working hard and getting better as a program and we had to take care of business but we were sloppy. My message at the end of the match was that a good team has to fight for everyone win. The team found a way to get a W. It wasn't the prettiest. IUP was coming off a win over West Chester. They were scrappy and worked hard."
• On the performance of Baughman: "Collectively some of us struggled, but I thought Carley had a great match. She did a great job making adjustments, tipping the ball outside of the block and finding ways to score. That's what you have to do when you aren't scoring like you normally do."
• On teams keying on Suseland: "The thing about Jayci is that I feel bad for whoever we play next. When she has a down match like that or when she thinks she does, she comes back with a vengeance. She is going to stew on that all week. She is going to have her day again."

NOTES
• Millersville topped 50 kills for the sixth time this season.
• Millersville has totlaed at least nine aces in each of the last three matches.
• Millersville has hit .240 or higher in nine of the last 10 matches.

UP NEXT
• Millersville makes a swing through Western Pennsylvania from Oct. 10-12, playing matches at Edinboro, Gannon and Mercyhurst in three consecutive days.
