Greene named PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week once again

Lock Haven, Pa. - It's become a regularly scheduled weekly occurrence. For the second time this season and for the fifth time in the last two seasons, Sunflower Greene has been named the PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
The award has been presented twice in 2018-19 and Greene has won it both times. This week's award included competitions in the month of January. Greene went 4-for-4 in first place finishes in the month, winning the shot put and weight throw at both the Coach I Open and the NYC Gotham Cup.
Most recently, Greene broke her own PSAC record and improved her NCAA "B" standard in the weight throw with a launch of 64-10 1/2. She has broken her own PSAC record twice already this season. She also won the shot put with a NCAA qualifying mark of 51-1. A week prior, Greene hit a NCAA "A" mark at 51-4 1/4 and posted a 60-10 1/2 in the weight throw.
Greene ranks third in Division II in the weight throw and second in the shot put. Including the indoor and outdoor seasons, Greene has been the PSAC's field athlete of the week nine times since the start of 2017-18.
