Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville University women's soccer squad captured an important 2-1 Pennsylvania State Atlantic Conference (PSAC) victory over Bloomsburg on Wednesday night at Pucillo Field. The Marauders beat Bloomsburg for the first time since 2008, improving to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC. The Huskies fell to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference with the loss.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• The Marauders got on the board early with two goals as the duo of sophomore
Talia Grynkewicz and junior
Kay Liebl duo was in full effect. In the fifth minute, Liebl carried the ball down the right wing. She floated a beautiful pass to Grynkewicz who volleyed a shot over the Bloomsburg goalie and inside the right post.
• Just over one minute later, senior
Delaney Meadows slotted a pass from the right wing into the box where Liebl finished with authority as Millersville's lead grew to 2-0 in the first six minutes.
• The Huskies' Allie Barber responded with a goal in the 22nd minute.
• Millersville's defense allowed just five shots the rest of the way.

• Grynkewicz kept the first goal streak going by scoring the first goal of the game for the third time in as many games.

Calista Paolino recorded their first starts of the season.
• The last time the Marauders beat Bloomsburg was in 2008 by a 2-1 score. Wednesday's win was just the fifth all-time for Millersville over Bloomsburg.
• The Marauders improved their goals per game average to 3.67.
• Liebl is already just seven points away from her 2017 total. Liebl is tied for the top spot in the conference in goals and first in shots and points.
