Women’s soccer shuts down Pitt-Johnstown for PSAC win

Johnstown, Pa. – The Millersville University women's soccer team picked up a PSAC road victory by blanking Pitt-Johnstown 1-0 on a wet Saturday afternoon. The win extended the Marauders win streak to four and matches the best start in school history.

The only other time Millersville started 4-0 was in 2013. Millersville also improved to 3-0 in conference while the Mountain Cats slipped to 2-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Senior Lauren Hoffman fired a long through ball from the midfield to junior Kay Liebl who found the back of the net in the 36th minute. That goal put the Marauders up 1-0. That goal stood up the rest of the way as the lone goal and game-winner.
• The Marauders dominated the first half as they out-shot the Mountain Cats 9-3 while earning five corner kicks. In a span of nine minutes in the first half, the Marauders sniped seven shots.
• Millersville's defense allowed just three shots each half with four getting on goal.

HEAD COACH MATT PROCOPIO QUOTES
