COACH BRIAN SMITH QUOTES
• "I thought we played well. Lock Haven played better at the end and challenged us, they definitely did not want to lose in three. We made some changes in practice before tonight, we made some different shots with different players. Kendra was in for the first time this season so she got to show us how she can play. It was a good match for us. We came in confident that we could win this in three, and we did just that."
• "Kendra (Miller) came here as a middle, but was injured at the beginning of the season. So it was just time. We wanted to see what she could do. We've been playing players out of position there. So we sort of just had a band aid on that spot for a while."
• "[The freshmen are] definitely coming along. We're about halfway through the season and they've seen a lot. It's quite an adjustment for a freshman to come into the PSAC which is a very competitive conference. You're getting girls that can really hit the ball at you. The speed of the game is also really tough to adjust to. We've been spending a lot of time working on our defense, and they've definitely been doing a lot better defensively. "
"Chyna is really quick off the ground. Chyna is an outside hitter, so it was great for her to actually be able to play there. When you get some kills that gives you some confidence in the middle and other positions that you can contribute. We feel very good about her game. We're also able to keep her defensively in the back row, and she passes well and plays well there. We made some adjustments and they worked tonight."
