Mansfield, Pa. – Senior
Delaney Meadows collected a deflection off the opposing goalie and sunk the game-winning goal with six minutes remaining in the second half to push the No. 25-ranked Millersville University women's soccer squad to a 2-1 victory over Mansfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The Marauders improved to 7-2 and 6-2 in conference play while the Mountaineers remained winless on their season.

Lauren Hoffman booted a corner kick into the middle of the box. The goalie deflected the cross but Meadows gathered the rebound and fired the game-winning shot into the back of the net.
• The Marauders trailed for 53 minuted until they found the equalizer in the 60th. Meadows passed the ball from the right corner. Junior
Kay Liebl tapped it back to
Cassie Blyth who shot from 10 yards away, besting the keeper on the left side of the goal.
• The Mountaineers shocked the Marauders by scoring the first goal seven minutes into the game. A crisp pass through the defending line by Cay McNichol found Bria Bittger five yards away from the goalkeeper, and she scored the first goal of the game.
• A near miss for the Marauders came in the 44th minute when sophomore
Lauren Downey sped up the left side with time winding down in the first half and chipped the ball over the goalie's head. But it hit off the crossbar and then bounced off the right post out of bounds.
• The Marauders led the possession throughout the game, shooting 24 shots in the first half and then 21 in the second. Millersville had plenty of chances in the first half including 10 shots in the last 15 minutes of the half compared to Mansfield's one.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Liebl led the offense with a total of 10 shots and added to her points total with an assist. Spencer recorded seven shots, a new career high, and four on net.
• Liebl surpassed her season high shots, previously set a game ago against East Stoudsburg with nine.
• Mansfield's goalkeeper Stephanie Moir faced plenty of Millersville shots, saving 17 shots compared to
Erin Heimbach's three saves.
• Meadows posted her first goal of the season while Blyth scored her first goal and points of her collegiate career.
NOTES
• This was the first match that the Marauders played as a nationally-ranked team this season.
• The Marauders secured their third-consecutive victory over the Mountaineers and improved their series record to 12-6-4.
• The Marauders led shots 24-6 in the first half, posting the most the team has had in a single period this season. Millersville finished the game with a season-high 45 shots. The last time the Marauders had over 45 shots in a single game was Oct. 18, 2015 when they fired 50 shots against Lincoln (Pa.).
• This was the first time this season that the Marauders recorded more than 20 shots in each half.
