Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville University women's soccer team fell 1-0 to East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tilt on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Pucillo Field.
The Marauders suffered their second loss of the season. The Warriors captured their fifth victory and improved to 5-2-1 and 5-1-1 in the conference.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• The Marauders dominated possession through the whole game, ripping off a total of 25 shots compared to the Warriors' five.
• Millersville created quality chances but were unable to find the back of the net while East Stroudsburg's goalkeeper Mauri Jackson made key saves down the stretch to salvage the 1-0 victory and earn her third win on the season.
• A scoring opportunity for the Marauders came in the 60th minute when junior
Kay Liebl worked up the left side and chipped a shot that was kept out of the goal only because of Jackson, who tipped it away while incredible diving backward.Â
• Millersville also hit the crossbar twice. In the first half, Liebl was covered tightly, passed to open senior
Delaney Meadows who shot the ball toward the top left corner, but it ricocheted off the crossbar. Liebl also hit the crossbar on a strike.Â
• The lone goal for the Warriors came off the foot of Jules Sicker whose initial shot was saved and the rebound was kicked into the open net in the 52nd minute.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Liebl and Grynkewicz had the most chances with both recording nine shots. Grynkewicz shot a team-high six shots on goal.
• A significant part of the Warriors' win was Jackson, who saved nine shots.
• Millersville's sophomore goalkeeper
Erin Heimbach gave up the first goal of her collegiate career while also saving four shots.
NOTES
• This was the third time this season that the Marauders recorded double-digit shots in each half of a game. It was the fourth time that the Marauders totaled over 20 shots in a game this season.
• The Marauders' defense gave up six shots in the game including two in the first half compared to Millersville's 13.
• Both Liebl and Grynkewicz recorded season highs in shots  Grynkewicz added a seaso-high six shots on goal.

• The Marauders go on the road to face Mansfield Wednesday, Sept. 26 in another conference battle. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
