Greensburg, Pa. – The Millersville University women's soccer team shut out No. 20 Seton Hill 2-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest on Dick's Sporting Goods Field Friday afternoon.
The Marauders improve to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play, while the Griffins fall to 5-2 (4-2). The Marauders now have sole possession of first place in the PSAC.
Friday's win marked the first in program history over Seton Hill.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Early in the second half, sophomore
Talia Grynkewicz fired a shot that was saved by goalie and bounced out of the box, but freshman
Alexis Spencer collected the ball on the left side and converted it for the first goal.
• Three minutes later, the Marauders scored again. Grynkewicz put a foot on a
Kay Liebl pass to increase the Marauders' lead to 2-0. Liebl drove the ball into the box and rifled off a shot. A defender and the goalkeeper collided, and Grynkewicz, wide open, chipped in the rebound.
• Millersville held a 6-5 edge on shots in the first half while Seton Hill totaled eight to Millersville's four in the second.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Grynkewicz led the team with four shots, a goal, and an assist. Grynkewicz posted her fourth goal and third assist of the season. Grynkewicz totaled a team and season-high four shots.
• Spencer recorded her second collegiate goal.
• Sophomore
Erin Heimbach stopped four shots in net and earned her first collegiate shutout. Heimbach was in net for the whole time and captured her second victory of the season. Jessica Neill of the Griffins saved five shots.
NOTES
• Liebl's six-game scoring streak came to an end but extended her points streak to seven with an assist.
• Just seven games into the season, the Marauders have already tied their season and conference win total from 2017.
