Millersville, Pa. – Junior
Kay Liebl and freshman
Alexis Spencer propelled the Millersville University women's soccer team to a 2-1 win against the Edinboro Fighting Scots on a hot Saturday afternoon contest on Pucillo Field.
Liebl recorded her seventh goal of the season and has scored in every game.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Five minutes after halftime, freshman
Alexis Spencer scored the game-winning goal when Liebl's shot was saved on left side of goal. The rebound found the foot of Spencer who converted into a wide open net.
• The Marauders broke the scoreless tie 14 minutes into the first half when senior
Lauren Hoffman placed a kick into the top of the box where junior
Kay Liebl ripped a deflected shot into the right side of the goal. That goal put the Marauders up, 1-0.
• The Fighting Scots drew even seven minutes later off a set piece when Brittnie Spithaler passed the ball to Rebecca Manns, who dribbled the ball up the right side and shot the ball over
Katia Mujica's stretched arms.
• On an attempt early in the 10th minute,
Lauren Downey sped through the midfield and lobbed the ball to Liebl . Liebl had just the goalie in sight but was called offside.
• Senior
Delaney Meadows and Spencer both had shots that went over the crossbar.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Liebl scored in her sixth goal of the season. She had five shots on the day. Liebl assisted on the Spencer's goal--her third assist of the season.
• Spencer recorded her first collegiate goal and three shots with two of them on goal.
• Goalkeeper
Katia Mujica had a save in the first 32 minutes of the game. Sophomore
Erin Heimbach finished the game in goal while not allowing a goal. Edinboro's goalkeeper Anna Voelker saved eight shots.
NOTES
• The Marauders had double-digits shots in each half with 11 in the first half and 10 in the second.
• The team only allowed three shots in each half. Rebecca Manns recorded half of the Fighting Scots' six shots.
• Heimbach had her collegiate debut today, recording 59 minutes in goal.
• Liebl tied her total points last year with 17. Liebl had her best shots on goal percentage this season at .581. Liebl leads the conference points total by a four-point margin.
