Millersville, Pa. - Behind a Cole Friese, tie-breaking home run in the opener and Ben Snyder's two homers in game two, Millersville baseball polished off the weekend series sweep of Goldey-Beacom. Millersville won game one 9-5, and rolled in the series finale, 12-3.

Snyder's big day included four hits, four runs and seven RBIs. Snyder upped his RBI total to 24 through 13 games, and he and Friese share the team lead for home runs with three. Millersville totaled 20 hits and drew 11 walks on the day.

Millersville scored at least nine runs in each of the series' four games, and have now topped 10 or more runs five times while not scoring fewer than four in any of the 13 games.

The game one mound victory went to Liam Grande (3-0), who tossed 2 2/3 shutout innings of relief. Millersville used six pitchers in game two, and starter Drew Miller went three, striking out six and not allowing a hit.

Millersville improved to 5-0 all-time against Goldey-Beacom.

GAME 1
Goldey-Beacom played longball in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 5-5 game into the sixth. That's when Friese struck. It was eerily similar to game two of the series, when Eric Callahan hit a three-run homer to give Millersville the lead and the eventual win. This time, with Luke Trainer and Callahan on second and third, Friese ripped the first pitch he saw over the left field wall, giving Millersville an 8-5 lead.

Grande, who entered the bottom fifth and stranded two Goldey-Beacom runners, fanned two in a 1-2-3 bottom of the sixth. In the seventh, nursing a four-run lead, Grande gave up a walk and two singles, but with the bases loaded, he got leadoff hitter Justin Hill to pop up to shallow left. He sealed the Millersville win with a strike out of Jay Smith.

Snyder went 2 for 3 with two doubles, three RBIs and a walk. Friese went 2 for 3 with a single, homer, three runs, two steals and three RBIs.

GAME 2
It didn't take long for Millersville to open a sizable lead. Friese led off with a triple, Williams walked, and Snyder hit a three-run blast. Manning Brookens and Brandon White hit back-to-back doubles, and White eventually scored on a Luke Trainer sacrifice fly. Millersville led 5-0 before Goldey-Beacom went to the plate.

Miller worked just three innings but mowed through the Goldey-Beacom lineup. He struck out at least one in each inning, and the only base runner to reach was a leadoff walk in the third. He promptly struck out the side.

Daniel Ross and Andrew Mayhew helped Millersville carry a no-hitter through 5 1/3.

Snyder hit his second homer in as many at bats in the top of the second. Eight Marauders had a RBI, and of the team's 12 hits, seven were for extra bases.
