Millersville, Pa. - Kaylor Kulina went 4 for 4, but Le Moyne's lineup took full advantage of four Millersville errors and 10 walks in an 18-2 win Saturday at Cooper Park.
Miscues bit the Marauders from the start as a Le Moyne scored a pair of unearned runs following a wild pitch and a dropped pop up in foul territory. Still,
Eli Nabholz (2-2) kept the Marauders close against Le Moyne ace Josiah Gray (3-0). Of the four runs he allowed, three were unearned and one was an inherited runner let in by the bullpen.Â
The Marauders trailed just 3-1 heading into the seventh. Nabholz gave up a leadoff single and retired the next batter, but after a call to the bullpen, the inning unraveled in a hurry for the Marauders. Le Moyne went on to score three runs aided by a passed ball, wild pitch and a stretch of four consecutive walks.
In the ninth, Le Moyne sent 18 batters to the plate. In addition to seven singles, Millersville committed an error and issued seven free passes for a total of 12 runs.
