Lock Haven, Pa. - Millersville University junior Jayci Suseland and sophomore Lindsey Blevins were named All-PSAC by the league's coaches Thursday. Suseland was selected to the first team, and Blevins landed a third team honor.
The All-PSAC teams recognize just 30 players regardless of position from the 16 conference teams. 2018 is the second season that the awards have been presented in a non-divisional format. The last time Millersville placed multiple players on the All-PSAC team was in 2013, when the league recognized players by division. Suseland is Millersville's first first team honoree since Millersville University Athletics Hall of Fame member Jennie Rohrbaugh in 2006. It is the first career PSAC postseason honor for both Suseland and Blevins.
Suseland was a two-time PSAC Southeast Division Athlete of the Week and led the league in kills at 4.05 per set. Suseland also ranked third in hitting percentage. Suseland finished the season with the fourth-most kills in Millersville history and also posted the fourth-best hitting percentage.
Blevins made an impact on both the attack and on defense. The sophomore outside hitter ranked sixth in the PSAC in kills per set at 3.55 while also ranking second on the team with 289 digs. Blevins led the team with 15 double-doubles. The last Marauder sophomore to earn All-PSAC recognition was Brooklyn Smith in 2013.
Millersville finished its season 16-12, going 13-1 at home. The Marauders won a PSAC division for the first time since 1999 and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
