
Women’s swimming wins meet over Lock Haven

Lock Haven, Pa. – The Millersville University women's swimming team claimed a 108-72 victory over the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon. The Marauders captured their fifth straight win over Lock Haven.
Freshman Alexis Bowen recorded a 12:01.99 in the 1,000-yard freestyle which won her the event. Bowen recorded her second win of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:50.87.
Junior Judith Miller earned her first win of the day in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 26.51. Miller's second came from the 200-yard butterfly where she swam a 2:27.91.
Junior Madisson Cartmill touched the wall with a time of 5:12.91 in the 400-yard individual medley, finishing first in that event.
With two Marauders swimming in the 200-yard backstroke, sophomore Alexis Shollenberger finished with a time of 2:22.65, earning her first place. Meanwhile, her teammate, freshman Fiona Stewart, was a second shy of Shollenberger.
The Marauders concluded their day by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:46.79. The squad included Miller, senior Amanda Wetzler, Shollenberger and freshman Maddi Stoner.
Millersville has the next week off to prepare for the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Nov. 16-18.
