Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's volleyball team took care of business Friday evening by sweeping visiting Kutztown 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-17), giving themselves the opportunity to play for the PSAC Southeast Division Saturday.
The Marauders (15-11, 10-7 PSAC) clinched a PSAC Tournament berth after the Tuesday win over West Chester, but after the win over Kutztown, the Marauders can win the division by beating East Stroudsburg Saturday. The Marauders won the first match-up of the season, 3-0.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Millersville totaled 49 kills to Kutztown's 30 and out-hit the visitors .312-.189. The Marauders were efficient on the attack, totaling just 14 errors in the match.

Katie Laughman piled up 17 assists in the set as Millersville never trailed and out-scored the Golden Bears 7-2 in one stretch to open a lead of as many as eight points.Â
• Kutztown stayed close in the second set and trailed by just one as late as 20-19. But an attack error followed by a

COACH BRIAN SMITH QUOTES
• "Since we've clinched I wanted us to focus more on our performance than the match, but I wanted them to keep in mind that we're still playing for something. I think they played well enough and there were some spurts that they played really well."
• "It would definitely be nice to win it. I would love to send ESU to Gannon. They're the one team that Gannon lost to. But more importantly is the fact that we keep winning and getting better. That's what I want to see. Winning the division would be icing on the cake, but a few weeks ago it looked like it was going to be difficult for us to get in and now we know we're in. I'm pleased with what they've done the past couple of weeks."
• "[Laughman] is a star for us. I think she is very overlooked in this conference. She had to transition from libero to setter, but she's still phenomenal on defense in the back court. She's a great athlete and improves a lot of balls for us that aren't on target. She's quick and has a good mannerism. She does more for us combined than most players do and she's really a quality athlete."
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Suseland led Millersville with 15 kills on 35 attempts, committing just three errors for a .343 attack percentage.
•
Chyna Gubbings hit .467 with nine kills to two errors. She also was second on the team with seven digs.
•
Haley Butler totaled 10 kills on 18 swings with just two errors for a .444 attack percentage.
•
Katie Laughman's 44 assists were a season-high for a three-set match.Â
