COACH BRIAN SMITH QUOTES
• (Suseland's injury impacted us) big time. You have your best blocker and one of your most productive offensive players out. Even worse, our other right side, Courtney (Turocy) was already in the game as a sub as serving specialist so we had to go to the player who had not been playing at all. We lost two close sets after that. Everyone stepped it up, but that was a tough loss."
• "(Playing without Suseland) is reality now. We don't know how bad it is. That could be what we have to face the rest of the way. Everyone has to play up, be better teammates--next player up."
• "We played poorly in the first but started getting better and played nearly even the rest of the way. It was a tight match. The effort was there. We've got to regroup and go out and compete tomorrow."

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
• Lindsey Blevins led Millersville with 14 kills on 47 swings. She also added 14 digs and a team-high two aces.
• Kat Forry recorded a career-high 33 digs, giving her career-high totals in each of her last two matches.

NOTES
• Millersville to 5-17 all-time against California. It was the second consecutive season that the teams played at California. Millersville won last season's match-up, 3-0.
• Blevins recorded her team-high 12th double-double of the season.
• Blevins has recorded eight or more kills in 20 consecutive matches. Friday marked her second consecutive match with 14 kills and she has three consecutive matches with at least one service aces.
• Forry has at least one ace in 15 of the team's 21 matches.
