Elizabeth City, North Carolina - The Millersville softball team capped off its North Carolina trip with a 13-1 victory over Bluefield State Sunday. Nine players registered two or more hits as 
Maggie Smith totaled three hits and three RBIs in the win. The Marauders scored four in the first before adding on in the third fourth and fifth innings. 
Paige Harris got the start and went the full five innings earning the win. The freshman from Clarks Summit, Pa., turned in a good performance striking out seven on just three hits.

Kaelyn Buskey got things going in the first, both reaching base and set up 
Maggie Smith who ripped a triple and put Millersville ahead 2-0. 
Megan McCurdy followed up the at bat with a homer to left centerfield and Millersville had a 4-0 lead. 
The Marauders added one in the third before blowing it open in the fourth with three runs as Brit and 
Maggie Smith each recorded RBIs as Millersville took control of the game. The Marauders would add five runs in the fifth on seven hits and cruise to the win.
Millersville stands at 3-2 on the young season and has its first home doubleheader Tuesday against Philadelphia University starting at 4 p.m.
