Jacob Gosselin scored a goal each in the second half to earn No. 22 Millersville a 2-0 victory at Bloomsburg Wednesday night. The Marauders earned their fourth straight conference victory.
A foul in Bloomsburg's defensive half set up Millersville's first goal in the 60th minute. Flickinger approached the free kick and blasted his attempt from outside the box into the back of the net to put Millersville up 1-0. Five minutes later, senior
Marcus Frangakis threaded a pass up the middle to Gosselin who beat the keeper one-on-one to put his attempt into the back of the net and double Millersville's lead. The Marauders held the Huskies to only two shots following Gosselin's goal, and sophomore
Darian McCauley was forced into action to save one shot.
Millersville played aggressively from the opening whistle and had the best scoring opportunities in the first half. The Marauders ripped off three shots on goal on eight total shots while the Huskies mustered only three shots that did not require action from McCauley. Millersville kept up the pressure in the second half earning five corner kicks with nine shots and one more shot on goal in addition to the two goals.
Flickinger leads the team with nine goals on the season while Gosselin ranks second with seven. Flickinger is tied for fourth in the conference in goals scored while Gosselin is tied for seventh. Flickinger ranks fifth in the conference in total points. Frangakis has registered an assist in three straight games and is tied for first on the team.
McCauley earned his tenth victory of the season and now holds a 0.99 GAA. The Millersville starting back line of senior

Nathan Maynard along with McCauley have earned six clean sheets this season. McCauley now ranks first in the conference with six clean sheets and first in saves with 49.
Millersville improves to 11-3-1 and 7-2-0 against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponents. The Marauders now sit in second in the PSAC standings with 21 points after jumping Gannon who lost over the weekend to Mercyhurst. Millersville play their next game at home Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. against conference rival Pitt-Johnstown. UPJ currently ranks last in the conference with an 0-9-0 record in PSAC play.
