
Student-Athlete Spotlight: Megan Hallock

Megan Hallock is a junior on the softball team. She started 46 games in 2016 and .311 with a .354 on base percentage in 2016. She is a native of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and a double major in management and marketing.
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the pond because it's relaxing.
Who is your favorite professor?
My favorite professor is Dr. Hutto because she is really nice and an amazing teacher.
Why did you choose Millersville?
I chose Millersville for academics.
What is a day in the life of a student-athlete?
The day of a student athlete is waking up at 6 am to go to lifting, go to class, then practice, team dinner, school work and sleep.
How has playing sports at Millersville changed you as an individual?
Playing on the softball team has made me more of a group orientated person. I have learned that working as a team to achieve a goal is an amazing feeling when you succeed and an amazing lesson you learn together if you fail.
What has been the most rewarding community service project?
In PSACs, when we held a camp for young children to enjoy the game we all love so much.
What is your favorite sports memory?
My favorite memory would have to be knocking West Chester out of the PSAC tournament.
Who do you admire most?
I admire my grandfather.
What is the best piece of advice you've received?
The best piece of advice I've gotten is that you don't always succeed the first time, but if you keep trying then eventually you will.
Where will you be in 10 years?
I see myself with a great job, stable, and living down south.
What would be a perfect day to you?
The perfect day to me would be sleeping all day.
If you could wake up having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?
If I could wake up and gain an ability it would be to fly for sure.
What is your favorite TV show?
Spongebob Squarepants.
What is your favorite meal?
Breakfast.
