Kutztown Tops Millersville in PSAC Action

Kutztown, Pa. - The Millersville wrestling team (6-7, 1-6 PSAC) traveled to Kutztown (10-5, 2-3 PSAC) on Wednesday where it fell to the Golden Bears, 28-9. Kutztown entered Wednesday's matchup ranked seventh in Super Region I.

Alex Baider and Nick Haegele picked up the two wins for Millersville. Baider registered his team-leading 21st win as he pinned Bruno Gerardi. When Baider pinned Gerardi, it was his second pin of the season and the quickest of his career. Haegele improved to 10-14 on the season as he defeated Jaylen Palmer by an 8-5 decision.

Matt Martoccio improved his record to 20-3 when he defeated the Marauders D.J. Mele by major decision. Travis Roper won his match with Thomas Nulty by major decision and improved his record to 12-1 on the season.

Both Colton Dull and David Wuestner battled but fell short by two points. Dull faced off against Brandon Clark who earned a 2-0 decision before Wuesnter fell to Ryan Appleby by the count of 4-2.

Millersville returns to action Friday as they host Wheeling Jesuit for their last home match of the season at 7 p.m.
