Millersville women's swimming races past Lock Haven

Lock Haven, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville women's swim team defeated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Lock Haven University 121-84 Saturday.
Millersville set the tone early with top finishes in four straight events.
In the 400 yard medley relay, the Millersville relay team lead by junior Emily Fusco, freshman Mallory Dyson, freshman Madisson Cartmill and senior Rachel Malampy finished eight seconds ahead of the second-place LHU relay team. A third-place finish by Millersville's second relay team allowed the Marauders to collect 13 of the possible 17 points from the event.
Freshman Jessica Berry took the 1000 yard freestyle event despite finishing roughly 14 seconds behind her season best time. Berry still finished roughly 28 seconds ahead of the second and third place finishers from Lock Haven.
Freshman Ariana Crossgrove won the 100 yard freestyle. Her finish of 56.87 seconds was roughly two seconds faster than her season best time.
Millersville book ended the meet with a first place finish in the final event. The relay team lead by Dyson, Crossgrove, senior Lizzie Ebert and Malampy finished three seconds ahead of the second place LHU team. Millersville's second relay team took third place allowing the Marauders to take 13 out of the possible 17 points.
The Millersville women's swim team's next event is Nov. 18-20 at the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pa.
