
Marauders Post Outstanding Times in Lynn University Sprint Invitational

Boca Raton, Fla. - The Millersville women's swimming team competed against four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schools and Lynn University in 13 relays on Saturday. The Marauders earned seven top-five finishes securing 401.5 team points, which was good for a third-place finish.
The relay quartet of Lizzie Ebert, Janelle Laudermilch, Rachel Malampy and Brigid Kavanaugh touched the wall third with a recorded time of 1:56.56 in the 200-yard medley relay. Kvanaugh earned a fifth-place finish with a time of 58.34 in the 100-yard freestyle. The senior scored 20 team points with her first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing the event in 25.37.
Rachel Malampy, Grace Magerr and Lizzie Ebert competed in the 200-yard freestyle earning third, fourth and sixth place finishes. Malampy swam the fastest finishing the event in 2:01.46. Janelle Laudermich scored a third place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.88. Laudermilch also competed in the 50-yard breaststroke finishing fourth with a recorded time of 32.59.
Magerr earned the Marauders 16 team points with her third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle. The senior swimmer finished the event in 5:25.51.
The Marauders concluded their afternoon finishing second in the 200-yard freestyle realy. Kavanaugh, Lizzie Ebert, Rachel Malampy and Marina Barrineau teamed up to finish the event in 1:44.03.
Saturday's meet represented the first time since Nov. 20 that the Marauders competed in live competition. With the heart of PSAC duals upcoming, Millersville returns to action on Jan. 16, when it hosts PSAC East rival East Stroudsburg. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
