Kutztown, Pa. – Kutztown extended its series win streak to four games after rolling past Millersville 87-69 Saturday afternoon at Keystone Hall. The Golden Bears have won three-straight contests and improve to 15-4 overall and 12-3 in the PSAC, while Millersville drops to 2-17 overall and 2-13 in conference action.
Anthony Lee drained a 3-pointer at the 18:25 mark of the first half to put Kutztown on the board, and the Golden Bears never trailed the rest of the way. Kutztown shot 50 percent from the field, made 6-of-13 from three and sank 23-35 from the free throw line.
Tommy Patterson and
Markeith Mont finished as the leading scorers for the Ville with 11 points apiece. Both forwards finished 4-of-8 from the field as Patterson also collected five boards and had two blocks. Freshman
Tom Townsend had a career-afternoon off of the Marauders bench finishing with nine points on 4-of-10 shooting from the floor.
Kutztown had four players finish in double figures. Anthony Lee had a game-high 19 points. Josh Johnson tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds, Anthony Selby canned 11 points and Dan Cuevas added 12 points off of the bench.
Millersville hosts Cheyney on Wednesday. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
