Lacrosse Participating in "Yards for Yeardley" Campaign

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's lacrosse team is participating in the "Yards for Yeardley" which is a fundraiser dedicated to the memory of Yeardley Love, a University of Virginia lacrosse player who was killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2010.
"Yards for Yeardley" was created by Caroline Seats and Covie Stanwick to not only to keep the memory of Love alive, but to raise awareness for domestic violence. In its inaugural year of 2015, over 150 teams participated in "Yards for Yeardley" and this year even more are expected.
The Marauders have set a lofty goal of one million yards for Yeardley and have already accumulated over 200,000 as a team in just a few days. You can follow the team's progess via social media as head coach Mia Hall will be posting updates (@CoachMiaHall) on twitter. You can also search #yardsforyeardley to see all those participating in the challenge.
