Johnstown, Pa. – With 10 minutes remaining in the match and the Marauders trailing 2-0, senior
Jaime Vazquez put the Millersville men's soccer team on his back scoring three unanswered goals to propel the Marauders to a 3-2 win over Pitt-Johnstown.
Vazquez scored his first goal of the match at the 80:21 mark on a brilliantly designed free kick towards the top of the box.
Ben Johnston slid the ball past the Mountain Cat defense and Vazquez one-touched the ball into the back of the net.
Seven minutes later on the counter attack,
Marcus Frangakis fired the ball off of UPJ keeper Nate Kleya and Vazquez teed off on the rebound opportunity to tie the game 2-2. Kleya suffered the loss in goal for the Mountain Cats after facing 28 Millersville shots while making 11 saves.
Vazquez completed the hat trick within the 87th minute, finishing a through ball from teammate
Christopher Sosa to score the game winning goal as well as securing the 3-2 win for the No. 15 Millersville Marauders. With the hat trick, Vazquez now has eight goals on the season, the top mark within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Kohl Orner off of a cross from the far side of the box via Matt Kinney. Pitt-Johnstown led 1-0 at the end of the first half.
In the 52nd minute, Matt Kinney finished a long goal kick from the top of the box that was assisted by Mountain Cat keeper Nate Kleya. The loss drops the Mountain Cats to 0-7-0 overall and 0-3-0 in PSAC action.
Kohl Orner earned the win in goal for the Marauders after seeing six shots and making one save. Millersville is now 6-0-1 overall and 4-0-0 in the PSAC.
Millersville concludes its three-game road trip on Saturday, Sept. 26 against the Gannon Golden Knights. Gannon (2-4, 1-2 PSAC) currently sit ninth in the PSAC as kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at McConnell Family Stadium.
