GAME OVERVIEW• The Millersville women's lacrosse team returns to the friendly confines of Chyrst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium on a two-match win streak as it hosts the nationally-ranked Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
• The Marauders' defense has drastically improved during its latest win streak. In the victories over Wilmington (Del.) and Kutztown the Black & Gold held the opposition to under 10 goals. Millersville limited Wilmington to just three goals in the first half. It was the first time this season that the Marauders held their opponents to three or fewer goals in the opening period. Against KU, the Marauders carried a 9-2 scoring advantage during the second stanza and didn't let the home team score until there was just 14 minutes left in the match.
• Offensively, freshman
Sabrina Fusco has had a breakout campaign for the Black & Gold. The Garnet Valley product has netted a team leading 32 goals for Millersville, including two game-winning efforts. Fusco has scored three or more goals in six of the 11 matches so far in the 2015 season.
VOGEL ENTRENCHING HER NAME INTO THE RECORD BOOKS• Senior
Hannah Vogel is coming off arguably her best collegiate game in the win over Kutztown where she netted three goals and assisted on another four efforts to lead the Black & Gold in points (7). The Horsham, Pa., native is now one point away from surpassing former teammate
Brooke Fisher for sixth on the all-time scoring list at Millersville.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT• The No. 2 ranked Bald Eagles remained perfect on the season with a free-position goal in the final 15 seconds by Jessica Pandolf securing the 10-9 win over #8 Mercyhurst. The Lakers led Lock Haven, 8-5 with 15 minutes remaining in the match. Freshman Alex O'Herrick recorded a crucial man-up goal late to go along with two back-to-back goals by Kelly Hamilton and Pandolf to tie the game with seven minutes left in the match. With three minutes left, Christina Hawkins won a hard-fought draw control that not only kept momentum in LHU's favor but set up the last second game-winning goal.
