GAME OVERVIEW
• The Millersville women's lacrosse team opens up PSAC play this weekend when it faces off against the nationally ranked Mercyhurst Lakers.

• Millersville goalkeeper Shannon Davis had a breakout performance for the Marauders as she snared a career high 16 saves in the 15-7 loss to Lindenwood. Davis has been responsible for both Millersville victories and now has recorded two straight games with 10 or more saves.

• The key for the Marauders will be generating scoring opportunities in dangerous positions of the pitch. Lindenwood's defense kept the high-powered Marauder attack in check all afternoon. The Black and Gold entered the match with the sixth highest scoring offense in the PSAC, but the Lions held Millersville to season-lows in goals, assists, shots, and draw controls.

• Millersville has had 32 assists through its first four games, which is five more than they had at this time last season. Hannah Vogel has been the Marauders most potent assist giver as she's tallied nine helpers to date. Vogel has been just as potent at beating goalkeepers, with her eight goals good for fourth best on the team. The Hatboro-Horsham product now has 156 career points and needs another 28 to pass former teammate Brooke Fisher for sixth place on the Millersville career scoring list.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• The No. 7 Mercyhurst Lakers head into this contest on a four game winning streak taking down the likes of the University of Findlay, Queens University of Charlotte, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Tiffin University earlier this month. The Lakers have outscored their opponents 61-38 in those past four matches.

• In the Lakers most recent match with Tiffin, the opponents came out strong on offense and were able to put away two quick goals on goalkeeper, Rebecca Muscella. However, Mercyhurst bounced back with tenacity. The Lakers went on attack and scored nine times in less than twenty minutes, making the game 9-2 with 7:08 left in the half. The Lakers ended up coasting to a 14-11 victory as they outshot Tiffin by a 33-17 margin.
