Marauders Falter at Seton Hill

Box Score Greensburg, Pa. - Captains Brooke Fisher and Becky Donkin each registered a hat trick as the Millersville women's lacrosse team dropped a PSAC contest to host Seton Hill, 18-9, on Saturday afternoon.

Millersville (5-9, 1-8 PSAC) went into the halftime break down 7-5 after scores from Fisher (2), Donkin, Hannah Vogel, and Jaime Damirgian in the first period. Seton Hill (12-4, 7-4 PSAC) came out of the intermission on fire, though, and scored eight of the next 10 goals to take a 15-7 lead with just 12:51 remaining in the game.

Donkin tallied two more scores over the final 11 minutes, but it was not enough as the Griffins scored three times during that same span to capture the 18-9 victory.

The Marauders saw five different players score throughout the game. Senior Caitlin Shannon, Vogel, and Damirgian each netted one score to go along with six combined goals from Fisher and Donkin. Donkin led the visitors with seven groundballs, while Shannon, Vogel, Fisher, and Donkin each collected two or more draw controls.

The defeat is the eighth straight loss in PSAC play for the Black and Gold.

Millersville hosts its final home game of the season on Wednesday, April 23, against Shippensburg. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
