Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville volleyball team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday but dropped its season finale to Pitt-Johnstown in straight sets. Three seniors played their final match in the Black and Gold and were

The Marauders (14-17, 7-15 PSAC) failed to clinch a PSAC Tournament berth for the first time since 2011 while the Mountain Cats (19-12, 13-9 PSAC) won eight of their final nine regular season matches and will be the east's No. 2 seed for the conference tournament.
The visitors opened the first period on fire with a 10-2 run. From that point on, Millersville couldn't get any closer than two points and Pitt-Johnstown pushed its lead to as many as eight before taking the stanza by seven.
The home team held leads of 3-1 and 5-2 to begin the second set before the Mountain Cats clawed back with an 8-3 run and were leading, 10-8. The Marauders scored the next two points to tie it back up at 10-10 but could never regain the lead as the away team won the period by five. That stanza was Pitt-Johnstown's best of the day as it hit .265 with 14 kills and five errors on 34 swings.
The Mountain Cats stormed out to a 7-2 lead to open the third set and forced Millersville to call a timeout. Out of the breather, Pitt-Johnstown kept the pressure on and increased its lead to 11, 17-6 before another Marauder timeout. Millersville could never get closer than eight from that point on though and dropped the period by 11 and the match in straight sets.
Kayla Wallace led the Marauders in kills with seven while
Victoria Biggins turned in 21 assists. Defensively,
Brooklyn Smith dug out 15 balls and above the net, Lesinski accumulated three block assists while Paul had one solo block and two assisted.
