Greensburg, Pa. - The Millersville women's soccer team traveled to Seton Hill on a cold and rainy Friday afternoon and neither team was able to find a breakthrough as the squads played 110:00 minutes of scoreless soccer.
Millersville is now 8-6-2 overall and 7-6-2 in PSAC play. The tie also dropped the Marauders to ninth place in conference just one spot out of the eighth and final PSAC Tournament position with one game remaining. To qualify, Millersville needs to beat Pitt-Johnstown and have Indiana (Pa.) lose or Gannon lose or tie in the season finales. Marauder goalkeeper
Olivia Webber turned in an outstanding performance stopping and saving eight Seton Hill shot attempts. The shutout marked Webber's sixth of the season and the mark is also a single season high for the Bernville, Pa. native.
Overall, Millersville fired 14 shots on the Griffins with eight of them on target.
In the second minute of play, the Black & Gold nearly got on the board when
Victoria Kramer fired a shot on frame that sailed inches above the crossbar.
In the second overtime period it took an acrobatic save by Griffin goalkeeper Carolin Edenhofner to save the tie. It was
Victoria Kramer again firing a dangerous shot attempt 45 seconds into the period, but the shot dipped right into Edenhofner's arms. Kramer finished the match with three shot attempts.
