Greensburg, Pa. - Millersville field hockey received four goals from four different players and bounced back from its first loss of the season by shutting out Seton Hill Saturday, 4-0.
Millersville (10-1, 8-1 PSAC) registered its seventh shut out of the season and the 25th of
Lauren Sotzin's career, bringing her to within two of the school record. Junior
Lauren Gerhart provided a goal and two assists in a career day.
Gerhart tallied Millersville's first goal on an assist from
Margaret Thorwart. Gerhart helped on the next score, finding
Katelyn Zapp, who scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season and 26th of her career, moving her into a tie for fifth on the Marauders' all-time scoring list.
Gerhart sparked the Marauders' third goal as well, hooking up with sophomore
Arianna Grays. Senior
Hannah Whitman capped the team's scoring with an unassisted goal.
The win improved Millersville to 9-0 all-time against Seton Hill.
The Marauders face a quick turnaround. They host Bellarmine Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
