
Women's Swimming Closes Out Regular Season at ESU Invitational

Millersville, Pa. - In its last meet before the PSAC Championships the Millersville women's swimming team had four first place finishes at the East Stroudsburg Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Jaime Cessna led the Marauders with two first place times. The sophomore won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:20.82 and was the first to touch the final wall in the 400-yard IM with a 5:11.61 result.
Freshman Bree Link and senior Becca Anderson were the other two Marauders who won events on Saturday. Anderson topped eight other competitors in the 200 free with a season best time of 1:59.52. Link zoomed to a personal best time in the 200-yard breaststroke with a result of 2:31.37.
Marina Barrineau had another strong finish for the Marauders when she reached a season-best time of 25.53 in the 50-yard freestyle. The freshman swam to a second place finish with her personal best time.
In the 1,650-yard freestyle Megan Oxley swam to a fourth place finish with a time of 18:59.92. Teammate Meghan Hickey also swam to a season best time of 2:25.26 in the 200-yard IM and placed fifth.
Millersville now has three weeks to prepare for the PSAC Championships. The conference championships will be held in York from February 21-23.
