Marauders Notch Second Consecutive Win

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team steamrolled Mercyhurst for a 7-2 win Saturday in the program's final home match of the season.

Millersville (3-9, 2-3 PSAC) won its second-straight match and pulled into a three-way tie for fourth in the PSAC standings.

Mercyhurst's only wins came at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Millersville controlled the rest of the matches. Henry Ben, playing in his final home match, scored a win at No. 2 singles and then teamed with classmate Tyler Lied for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Lied also won at No. 6 singles.

Senior Corey Garnier also accounted for two points, winning a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 4 singles and teaming with Tucker Mertz for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles. No. 3 and No. 5 singles both went to freshmen with Jody Sambrick Jr. and Tucker Mertz notching wins.

The Marauders travel to Philadelphia University Sunday for its final regular season match of the season.
