McBride Paces Men's Cross Country Against Deep Field

Bronx, N.Y. - Led by James McBride, the Millersville men's cross country team placed 15th in a Division I-layden field Saturday afternoon at the 17th Annual John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions.
On the 8K Van Cortland Park course, McBride ran a time of 26:20.03 to place 33rd and second among Division II runners.
As a team, Millersville placed ahead of Manhattan, West Florida, Siena and Hofstra. Connor Veres was Millersville's No. 2 finisher. His time of 27:43 was good for 123rd overall. Finishing four seconds later was Bradley Slaughter. Zach Mains posted a time of 28:27 and Michael Parker crossed the line one second after Mains.
Andrew Musselman and freshman Matt Taylor rounded out the Millersville times in 28:35 and 28:40 respectively.
The Marauders travel to Lock Haven on Sept. 24 for the Lock Haven Invitational.
