Marauder Men Finish Fifth at Slippery Rock Invitational

Slippery Rock, Pa. - With two runners in the top 26, the Millersville men's cross country team raced to a fifth place finish at Saturday's Slippery Rock invitational.
James McBride took 11th place in the field of 141 runners and 12 teams. His time of 27:04.5 was less that a minute off the winning pace set by Travis Arrigoni of Slippery Rock. Bradley Slaughter crossed the line in 26th with a time of 27:52.3.
A strong Millersville pack came in behind Slaughter, starting with Michael Parker in 34th (28:21) and Zach Mains in 36th (28:33.1). Connor Veres placed in 40th with a time of 28:32.9, and #Andrew Musselman placed 44th in 28:40.1. Freshman Matt Taylor took 48th, Chris Brandt placed 50th and Kevin Diflorio placed 52nd. Ben Morrison (68th) and Seth Hibbs (73rd) also competed for Millersville.
The Marauders now have two weeks to rest until the PSAC Championships on Oct. 22.
